Leilo Kava Seltzer is a sparkling, non-alcoholic relaxation drink with 1,000mg of a proprietary noble kava root extract blend in every can, plus L-theanine. It comes in three classic fruit flavors and three mocktail-style flavors.

What is in it? Carbonated water, noble kava root extract, natural flavors, citric acid, potassium citrate, and stevia leaf extract. Noble kava refers to kava varieties traditionally preferred for drinking in the Pacific Islands.

How to drink it. Chill a can and sip it slowly. One can is a serving, so see how you feel before reaching for another. The mocktail flavors work well over ice with a lime wedge.

Know before you sip. The National Institutes of Health notes that kava has been linked to rare cases of serious liver injury. Use kava occasionally, never with alcohol, sedatives, or acetaminophen, and skip it if you have liver concerns, are pregnant or nursing, or take prescription medication without first talking to a licensed practitioner.
