Uplift vs Unwind. Uplift leans on kanna for a brighter, social feel, while Upstate Elevator Unwind leans on kava for evenings. Same brand, two different moments.

About the ingredients. Kanna is a South African succulent traditionally chewed or brewed, and Zembrin is a standardized kanna extract. Kava is a Pacific Island root, here in a small amount, and L-theanine is the amino acid found in green tea. We make no medical claims about this product.

The taste. Bright, tart pink grapefruit with a crisp sparkle and only 40 calories. It drinks like a light spritz, which makes it an easy swap at brunch, a barbecue, or an afternoon hangout.

How to drink it. Enjoy it chilled, one can at a time, as an afternoon reset or a social drink. Kanna acts on mood pathways, so do not combine it with antidepressants, other mood-affecting medications, or alcohol. Skip it if you are pregnant or nursing, and talk to a licensed medical practitioner first if you take prescription medication.

When to reach for it. Midafternoon when you want a reset without more coffee, or at a gathering where you want something in your hand that is not alcohol. Keep it to one can and see how it suits you.
