deVINE Branded Matchbook (1 Book)

The deVINE Matchbook is a single pocket sized book of paper matches carrying our own logo, a simple, fuel free way to light candles, incense, tobacco or legal hemp.

If you want a light source with no butane to refill and no flint to wear out, a matchbook is the easiest backup to keep in a jacket, glovebox or travel kit. It weighs next to nothing and works at any altitude, which a butane lighter cannot always promise. It also makes a small souvenir from our shop on East Broadway.

How to use it. Close the cover before you strike so the flame cannot reach the other matches. Strike away from your body along the striker, let the initial flare settle for a second, then light what you need. Shake it out or drop it in an ashtray, and make sure it is fully out before discarding.

What to know. Paper matches are best for short, occasional lights. Keep the book dry, since damp matches will not strike, and away from heat sources. They are not windproof, so shield the flame with your hand outdoors.

Travel and gifting. Matchbooks are allowed in carry on bags in limited quantities under US airport rules, though checked bags are a different story, so check with your airline before you fly. One book is plenty for a weekend of candles or a backyard fire pit. They make an easy add on to a gift bag, and a deVINE branded book is a small way to remember a visit to South Boston.

Compare and pair. Want something reusable? The Flint Strike Refillable Lighters take refills and new flints. Fans of matchbooks also like our Send Doobs Matches and the Bud Bouquet Birthday Card with Matchbook. Pair it with deVINE Rolling Papers for a house brand set.

Check the certificates. Lighting our hemp flower? Every certificate we have on file is on our lab reports page.
