About the ingredients. Maca is a Peruvian root traditionally associated with energy and libido, cordyceps is a functional mushroom, and cayenne adds warmth. Research on these ingredients is still developing, and we make no medical claims about this product.

What it tastes like. Deep, dark, and slightly fruity from the wild strawberry, with a gentle heat from the cayenne on the finish. Our one verified reviewer found it too bitter and could not finish a piece, so if you prefer milk chocolate, this bar may not be for you. Fans of 70% dark chocolate tend to enjoy it.

How to enjoy it. Break off a few squares and share. Eat Gold suggests several squares for the full experience, but start with one or two and see how you feel. Store it somewhere cool and choose expedited shipping in warm months.

Who it's for. Adults who love dark chocolate and want a fun, functional treat for a night in. Skip it if you are pregnant or nursing, sensitive to spicy foods, or take prescription medication without talking to a practitioner first.
