What each ingredient brings. Tremella and reishi are functional mushrooms, kanna is a South African succulent associated with mood, rhodiola is an adaptogenic root, saffron is the familiar spice, L-theanine is the amino acid in green tea, and magnesium is an essential mineral. Research on these ingredients is still developing, and Alice says the most noticeable effects come with consistent daily use.
Know before you take it. Kanna and saffron can interact with antidepressants and other mood-affecting medications, so talk to a licensed practitioner first if you take prescription medication, and avoid alcohol. Skip it if you are pregnant or nursing.
How to enjoy it. Start with one square at any time of day and see how it fits your routine. Alice suggests one to two squares daily.
Lab testing. Alice states its products are lab tested for quality. Review what we have on file on our lab reports page.
Storage. Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight so the chocolate does not bloom or melt. Choose expedited shipping in warm months.
